Journal #2

I think that the animals are going to rebel against Napoleon. I think this because they just witnessed a slaughter of animals just because they were in league with Snowball. Also I think this because the animals still have some underlying memories if the truth. I think that they will soon recall these memories and rebel against Napoleon for deceiving them. My opinion on the matter is that is that I think the animals should rebel against Napoleon. I think this because he keeps deceiving them and planting false ideas in their heads.
Another prediction that I have is that Napoleon is going to disobey the commandments and form alliances with the boarding farms and with the humans. I think this because he keeps adding tot the commandments in the middle of the night so he doesn't break them. Also I think this because he pushes the animals to hard and does no work himself just like Mr. Jones. Another reason why I think this is because all the pigs that run the farm now live in the house. Also because Napoleon insists that the pigs get the best rations. While they are in the house they have parties and drink. In other words he is becoming just like a human and that is against the commandments.

Myth

Once upon a time there was a magician named Ralph. This magician was very rich. Also he was different from all the other magicians. Unlike the other magicians he liked to make his own spells. This was a very dangerous matter. For example if one went just the slightest wrong he could destroy the world. However he could also make something brand new. Now you know why the other magicians stuck to the books. One day while Ralph was trying to think of a spell a robber broke into his safe and stole some of his gold. Ralph was very mad. How could a robber get past his top of the line security system. Then Ralph came up with an idea. Why not create something to guard his wealth so it could be safe from robbers. So then Ralph got straight to work. First he set his cauldron to medium fire. Now to work. "Binga Botta Boom Abra Catawba." POOF! NO!!! Ralph just realized instead of creating a protector he converted all his gold into a seed. What a mistake. Then he chucked it out the window. Soon it was time to go to bed for Ralph. When he woke up there was a weird noise outside. So Ralph went to check it out. When he walked put into the crisp morning air he realized his small seed turned into a beautiful maple tree. But that wasn't the thing he was amazed at. The tree had golden apples hanging from its lush branches. Now it was time to try again. He first set his cauldron to medium fire. Then Oompa Loompa Jingly Jangly Boo Wumpa. POOF!! At once Ralph knew that he had seceded. There was a powerful presence in the air. Then out of the cauldron rose the most fearsome creature that ever roamed the earth. It was a dragon. But not an ordinary dragon. This dragon had one hundred heads and an impervious hide. It was also immortal. No only to name it. Joe? Na to lame. Jason. yeah right. Suddenly it hit Ralph. He decided to name him Ladon. Now that is how Ladon came to be.

I chose to research Ladon for my Mythical Creature project. The origin of Ladon is Greek and Roman myth. Ladon is a dragon with a serpent like body. Also Ladon has numerous heads. In some myths he has 100. Also it is said that each head uses a different voice and language. Ladon's personality is very protective. He is protective because he guards the tree with the Golden Apples which was Zeus's wedding gift to Hera, in the Garden of the Hesperides. Also he would be considered protective because he stays next to the tree day and night and does not sleep. Ladon has many special abilities and strengths. One of these is that he has many heads. Another special ability is that he has an impervious hide and great strength. Although he has many strengths he also has a weakness which is strangulation at the base of his heads. The parents of Ladon could either be Typhon and Echidna or Phorcys and Ceto. One interesting fact is that for Hercules' 11th labor he had to steal three golden apples and get past Ladon. There are many references to Ladon in the 21st century. One of these is the constellation Draco which represents Ladon. Another 21st century reference is the video game Dungeons Dragons.
